Evolving the German Dual System of Education, Steinbeis has designed and delivered several training programs in India and Germany for Indian students and professionals. We have trained more than 6000 students and professionals in technical areas like Renewable Energy, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industry 4.0, and Management, with placements provided to over 3000 students in some of the top companies in India. Steinbeis partnerships for many of its programs include many topmost Institutions like IIT's, NIT's, IIM's, CSIR, NSIC, ARAI, CMTI etc.. Steinbeis has served some of the topmost Indian corporates including Tata Group, Mahindra Group, Godrej Group, Renewsys, Sterling & Wilson, L&T, Jain Irrigation including multinationals like Bosch, Siemens, Kuka Robotics, and many more.

With globalization around and job potential reducing, unemployment is one of the major problems in India. With this background and looking at the opportunities in the evolving Solar PV sector, Steinbeis Academy India launched training programs in Solar PV in 2009, to become the first private Solar Training institute in India, to get youth skilled and job-ready in this expanding sector. Over last ten years Steinbeis Academy trained more than 5000 working Professionals, Students and Technicians in Solar PV technology. Many of our students are working in middle and Senior middle level positions in the topmost Indian Companies drawing salaries ranging from 5 – 12 Lakhs per annum. Steinbeis also launched the world’s first Mobile Solar Academy ‘Skills on Wheels” in 2018, where it trained and placed more than 200 students as technicians in some of the topmost Indian Companies. The project was awarded with Steinbeis Academy awarded the Best Training Institute at Renewable India Expo 2019 at New Delhi.

Steinbeis Academy India was approved by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt of India, and National Institute for Solar Energy (NISE), as a National Level Training Organization under JNNSM and Solar Energy Training Network (SETNET), respectively. It also partners with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) as its training partner through Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI) and Skills Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) and has organized several trainings under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), and Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing Scheme (ESDM). We are approved by European Energy Centre as a Centre of Excellence.

In parallel, Steinbeis Academy provided trainings to students and working professionals in niche areas related to Automotive Technologies, Machine-Tools, Robotics, Industry 4.0, Innovation and Industrial Automation. The unique approach of Steinbeis has been Project Integrated Learning, where in most of the courses and trainings participants have to work on real-time projects along with internships in the company. This approach has been quite successful and in a recent survey with employers, Steinbeis Academy was rated at 8 out of 10 score of satisfaction with the quality of professionals provided by Steinbeis to those companies.
