APRIL 2018

Workshop on Digitisation, Robotics and Industry 4.0 organised by Steinbeis in partnership with Electronics Sector Skills Council and Indo-Euro Synchronisation, Germany.

The Workshop was organised on 18th April at Modi Hall, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry,New Delhi, with a focus on Human Capacity Building for Indian Industry.

In today's fast changing industrial world it is essential to find reliable, cost effective and efficient ways to stay ahead in the industry. Use of Digitalisation and Robotics Technologies in the industry can increase productivity and quality of the product.WhileIndian Industry needs to rapidly adapt these technologies to stay ahead in the Global Competitive Environment, the challenges in the Indian Eco-System could be summarized as follows –

  • With regard to the Indian educational and skill development path, already now, the practical training is emphasized. Lots of laboratories and exercises must be covered by the students. It would be advisable to further strengthen this path, possibly also in collaboration with SMEs.
  • In the long run, this also might lead to a vocational or cooperative education model. For advanced technologies like Smart Manufacturing and Robotics, capital investment is only a small portion. Investments into capacity building and training of the trainers should player a large (possibly the larger) role.
  • With regard to the educational and skill development path, there needs to be more alignment of the various courses offered by various entities across the country.

The Workshop elaborated on the various models of Human Capacity Building in high Technology Areas, as existing in Germany and which could be suitably adopted and adapted for India. Mr. N K Mahapatra, CEO – ESSCI, Mr. Vineet Kumar Goyal, Director Steinbeis India and Mr. Venkat Raj, CEO – Indo-Euro Synchronisation dwelled upon the need for Indian Institutions and Industry and various models available for adoption and adaptation by the Indian Training Institutions – both for Training as well as Consulting for the Industry.

Dr. Daniel Hahn, COO – European Centre for Mechatronics, Aachen Germany, provided an insight into the Smart Manufacturing, Robotics and Industry 4.0 and the growing global demand for these Technologies, and the resultant demand for Engineers and Technicians. Based on his past experiences in India, he also suggested models for setting-up Training and Consulting Centres in such high-technology areas with the support of Government.

The workshop was well-attended with over 50 participants from Institutions and Industry. As a fall-out of the Workshop, Manav Rachna University in Faridabad organised a similar Workshop with the German Expert on 26th April which was attended by almost 100 students and faculty members.

African Entrepreneur decides to meet our team to finalise training for 500 students

A watershed moment arrived in February 2018 in the Solar Training history of 2E Knowledge Ventures Pvt. Ltd. (2EKVPL). From accumulating experience in training Indian students in Waste-to-Energy, our expertise had received attention from abroad as well.

Although it was in 2017 that we initially received the enquiry from a African entrepreneur to train his country’s youth in this technology, It was only in this month that he submitted the Visa invitation Letter from our company, to the Indian embassy in his country. Once the visa is processes, he is scheduled to visit our training and accommodation facilities (meant for his students), sign the agreement with us and  finalise the contract.

Till date, 2EKVPL had partners in Europe to assist in solar Training. However, all of these were for training of Indian students only. This is the first time, that foreign students in mass numbers will be arriving at our facilities and get trained in our time tested modes of coaching , get exposed to our reliable faculty and teaching methods & immerse themselves in site visits that will transfer the solar revolution to their country.
